This isn’t a bug, it’s a feature — it’s the nature of a social platform that anyone can access.

So be delighted at the chance to reach out to people you’d never cross paths with in real life. But don’t take offense when you see someone you’d cross the street to avoid. Anyone can be online — and virtually everyone is.

Guys, this means ignoring the women you don’t find attractive. Ladies, this means ignoring the guy with no teeth (or worse, the bathroom selfie guy).

If you’re going to date online — and you should — don’t get distracted by the people who aren’t for you. Instead, focus on the people you actually have a chance of being happy with.
